FOUNDER, DIRECTOR & CHAIR

Collette, founder of Beyond the Rainbow, began raising awareness and establishing baby loss gift boxes after the death of her daughter Amelia at 38 weeks gestation in 2020 & experiencing three miscarriages in the years that followed.

Collette brings to this organisation a background in health care having worked as a nurse for many years and briefly as a midwife. Supporting families experiencing baby loss has been a passion for Collette since she began nursing in 2015.

DIRECTOR

Nathan, husband to Collette & father to Amelia, brings his lived experience of stillbirth and miscarriages to this team. Nathan provides a father's perspective and guidance into the partner's role when raising awareness of baby loss and contributes insight into the creation of baby loss gift boxes and fundraising events.

BOARD MEMBER

Fiona works in health care as a dietitian at the Launceston General Hospital. However, it was her exposure to baby loss through family & friends that inspired her to become involved in Beyond the Rainbow. Fiona is able to bring to the team the perspective of baby loss as a sister, as an aunty and as a friend.

Director

After the loss of her son Jace at 24 weeks, Emma received a gifted care box. Through advocation for a safe space and improved wrap around care for all baby loss, Emma connected with both Collette and Annie.

Emma has a passion to help each family experiencing baby loss feel a little less alone and supporting siblings after navigating her own daughters grieving process after Jace.
