A special fundraiser honouring

- Winifred Norma -

Support Hannah Geelan in her commitment to run a 22km trail in honour of her good friend’s daughter - Winifred who was born peacefully on the 1st of January 2025.

Funds from this charity run will go towards creating our bereavement care boxes and sibling packs to be offered to other bereaved families across Tasmania in Winifred’s name.

Winifred’s Story

“Meeting our beautiful baby girl, Winifred Norma, was a very surreal experience. The room was silent but she was absolutely perfect. Like all parents we were waiting for a little cry but it never happened. Our hearts were completely shattered. The following days were filled with many beautiful moments with our family but also so many difficult moments that were completely heartbreaking. Winifred’s older sister, Gwendolen, was so excited to meet her baby sister and as soon as they met Gwendolen was absolutely besotted and she talks about baby Winifred everyday.

Beyond the Rainbow provided us with two care packs, one for us and a sibling pack for Gwendolen. We were able to use the resources in Gwendolen’s pack to explain what had happened in an age appropriate manner. It also gave her physical items to bring home that created an ongoing link to Winifred. The pack for us had both practical resources and sentimental items to guide us through some of the upcoming challenges.

Our time with Winifred was far shorter than we had ever imagined however she will always be part of our family and forever in our hearts. "

One Day We’ll Be Together

You held me for a while

But you are my forever

In every dream I dream

It’s you and I together

I see you crying sometimes

It rains up here then too

I know you miss me mummy

But I live on in you.

I live on in your memories

Where we often meet

I live on in your heart

With every brave, and loving beat

I’m singing in the sunsets

I’m catching every kiss,

So live your life for me

For all the stories that I’ve missed.

And I’ll be waiting for you

Where the seasons never fade

You will be much older

And I will not have changed.

No matter how much time has passed

I’ll know that lovely smile

And I’ll run into your arms

The ones that held me for a while.

One day we’ll be together again

So mummy, please don’t cry

Just look for me at night

Shining for you in the sky
